Halls Creek, bis

April 17th

Well because this was to be our last river for a very long time, we decided to hang around a bit. Shaving, cleaning up, enjoying the cool water and the hot sun for hours, we only left Saw Pitt after lunch, meaning this would be way too late to start the Tanami now.

So instead, we booked in at the local motel, after we packed the fridge with meat and fresh vegetables, filled the water tank and refueled to the max, including both jerries.

Halls Creek Motel is crap but it beats putting the tent up when you’re knackered. They also have a crap burger but it was worth it. We don’t know what to expect tomorrow on the Tanami so, best to rest and take some energy.

Distance today: 48km, total: 12920km.
