And what’s left of it… August 07, 2007. I missed a sharp right-hand corner and ended up on the left lane. Half a second to decide, do I go left of the car coming the other way, or do I go right ? Go right, and there’s a 50% chance I’ll be under the car. Go left, and there’s a 50% chance I’ll make it.

I didn’t make it. Broken right wrist, split left shin, dislocated right shoulder, but my Kevlar spine-protector saved my life. I hit the car on its front left corner, I saw the terrified look in the passenger’s eyes, then I saw nothing much but I remember hitting the side rail with my back. Then I bounced back on the ground. Poor old VTR flew a few feet in the air, and landed with a crash on the road. That was the end of it.
