More CouchSurfing

31 January 2012 – Well the Melbourne CS community is pretty active. After Jon and Es on the houseboat at Lake Eildon, I went for three days at Shani’s. Her family was cool enough to put up with me for another days. Pretty laid back, nice homy atmosphere. Shani and her mate are about to go to Europe for a GAP year, so she’s getting as much info as she can get. Cool chick too.

I took her to her very first CS meeting in the CBD, where she met more CSers and got even more info. I got to chat with various travelers and CS hosts which was pretty good. No one offered a couch though, I’ll try again tonight. And tonight, yet again, I’ll be bringing guests. The first is my CS host, Sha. She’s from Malaysia so, my turn to gather info. She’s very easy going too, and moves around in her little scooter like a crazy bee, it’s pretty funny. She has some muscular disease that puts her in a wheelchair for most of the time, though she usually walks around at home.

Second guest is Jonathan, who’s a CS virgin, he’s been a member for a year but hasn’t dare to either host or be hosted.

So yeah, the CS community is very active, they have meeting every week, organize tours and go to festivals, etc. Bah, I’m too old for this shit 🙂
