After we pack up, we headed off to the last spot on the camp, Picaninny Creek. We must be the only two in the whole park, it’s just perfect. The walk takes us through the actual Bungles, which are massive domes about 200m tall and as wide as a skyscraper. At the end of the canyon, a superb gorge with a small pond. The gorge was formed when it used to be a waterfall, it must have been roaring with power with the water rushing down and carving this great split in the mountains. Now it’s a very quiet spot, the only sound are the birds up above and the few fishes in the pond. Peaceful.
