Adeus Timor Leste

Tonight we’ll be spending our last night in TL, we should cross the Indonesian border tomorrow lunchtime. It’s sad we have to leave on such short notice but Claire has some commitments in New Caledonia she can’t miss, namely, her mum 🙂 So she’ll fly off from Kupang on the 9th, giving us one week to enjoy “West Timor”.

These are the news. Oh yeah, and we’ve noticed some items are missing from the car (some IT equipment, hidden but not well enough, and a hunting knife, a gift from my mate John in Belgium). We’ve notified Perkins and hope to claim the insurance money at least, but the fifteen years worth of data on the USB hard disk are invaluable.

Shit happens I guess…

  1. That’s sad :*(. I hope it will be alright with the insurance. The money will help you to continue the travel.

I have a copy of a part of your files in one of my disc if I remember well…

I’m waiting for your post card 😉

    Cheers,
    John

    • Sadly, no, I have lost fifteen years worth of data. If I knew the car would not fit into the container, I would have made different plans. Such is life, no point crying over spilled milk. Good to hear from you Axl, how’s the Indian Ocean treating you all (three, four?).

      Talk soon.
